COLUMN MINIDRYER

 THE DRYING COLUMN consists of an upper loading hopper, a number of modules with rounded ducts inside immersed in the cereal, a discharge hopper and a vertical auger (optional bucket elevator) which deal with loading, recirculation and discharge, and a hot air production unit.

The cereal drops down by gravity in a zigzag movement and is hit by a flow of hot dry air in counter-current which crosses the ducts and the cereal; the saturated air flow is dispersed in the atmosphere.

The quantity of cereal at the outlet is predetermined and regulated by an electrically motorized extractor.

The product collected in a hopper drops into a vertical auger (optional bucket elevator) which feeds the drying column as many times as necessary to reach the desired final humidity (recycle).

At the end of the drying, the cereal is cooled and sent to the outlet by means of a two-way valve installed on the recirculation auger (optional bucket elevator).

The hot air generation unit consists of: a two-stage burner controlled by thermoregulators, a stainless steel oven (optional heat exchanger), a fan and a duct for connection to the drying column.

L’essiccatoio a ciclo continuo con riutilizzo di calore a bruciatore unico ESMA è dotato di un quadro comandi con sistema PLC e pannello operatore touch screen, cioè di un sistema capace di azionare e controllare gestendo tutto il processo essiccante anche tramite remoto. Il pannello operatore nello specifico è un dispositivo progettato appositamente per il controllo del processo di essiccazione dei cereali in versione temperatura, che come optional può rilevare inoltre l’umidità.

E’ un sistema facilmente personalizzabile, particolarmente indicato per gli essiccatoi a ciclo continuo o a ricircolo con regolazione autonoma dello scarico.

In primo luogo con il convogliamento dell’aria tiepida proveniente dalla zona di raffreddamento al ventilatore e successivamente al bruciatore: quest’operazione consente un risparmio energetico del 30% circa rispetto ad altri impianti.

In secondo luogo, come optional c’è l’Isolamento termico che viene realizzato con una carenatura esterna. Tale sistema, già adottato negli essiccatoi cilindrici ESMA, è costituito da un pannello in lamiera sovrapposta che forma un involucro ventilato, grazie al quale si ottiene un ulteriore 10% circa di risparmio energetico.

CONTINUOUS CYCLE SINGLE–BURNER DRYER WITH HEAT RECOVERY

Switchboard with PLC  with remote management of the whole drying process. 

The circuit automatically controls the various drying stages with automatic and manual operation. During the drying, the PLC intervenes automatically as the humidity in the incoming cereal increases or decreases, automatically varying the drying  temperatures in the tower. Furthermore, due to the use of the latest generation humidity sensors, the PLC verifies and controls the humidity at the outlet, significantly increasing the self-regulating capability of the plant. The special operator panel can graphically display the drying tower and, in addition to the normal operating parameters, also the values of the humidity discharged in the last few hours.

The ESMA CONTINUOUS CYCLE DRYER offers at least a double energy saving. The first is achieved by recovery of the hot air flowing out of the cooling phase in the production cycle and the second in the form of electrical saving: the fans are struck by hot air which is lighter than cold air, thus reducing consumption. A 30% energy saving is achieved.
